I went to E-Lanes today on a recon mission. It used to be located at the shopping center but had moved to the building of
Openpinoy (beyond Madison Street and before Santolan). Here is my assessment:
- Accessibility - It is not difficult to go to because buses and jeeps pass in front of it all the time. However, considering the time we normally meet up is rush hour, it may take more time than we want to spend just getting there.
- Affordability - It is comparable to the other bowling alleys we have gone to.
- Cleanliness - It is very clean and smells great! No smell of sweaty feet or moldy corners anywhere.
- Facilities
- The bowling lanes are well lit.
- The holes of the bowling balls are just the right size. Even a bowler with wide digits will have no trouble as there is a ball for everyone in every weight, from the 6 lb ball to the 16 lb ball. Yes, Alec. There is a 6 lb ball that would fit your fingers.
Not that you need a 6 lb ball ... I'm just saying, hehehe.
- The display screens are not dim so we do not have to squint to see our scores. I didn't get to see the graphics, though, so I cannot say how it compares to the rest.
- The tables are well-spaced so we need not fear intruding on other players too much. Each table could comfortably seat 6 people.
- They serve food (sandwiches, pasta, ala carte meals, soda, juice, water, and beer) that are reasonably priced. For example, Spaghetti Carbonara was P95 on the menu.
- The Proshop is tiny but well-stocked with EXPENSIVE (meaning branded) items.
- Shoes - The shoes they rent out are very good ... either Swatch or Brunswick.
Having said all that, below are their rates, for your reference.
